Edward P. Carey (Retired)

Ed is the former Regional Counsel for the Pennsylvania Department of Public Welfare. He argued both the Commonwealth Bank case and the Snyder case before the Pennsylvania Supreme Court. For eighteen years he represented the Commonwealth in guardianship proceedings, mental health commitments and trust and estate matters.  After retiring from the Commonwealth in 1995, Ed spent many years in private practice working with clients on special needs planning and elder law planning.

Ed received his B.A. Degree from LaSalle University and his J.D. Degree from Villanova University.  He also holds Masters Degrees from LaSalle University in Theology, Villanova University in History and Duquesne University in Education.
